Whether you need a quiet corner to concentrate or a flexible workspace that balances study and supervision, this space is here to help you succeed.

The Family-Friendly Study Space is available on a first-come first-serve basis. No reservation is necessary and there is no limit on how long a group can be in the space.

Children who come to the library MUST be accompanied by an adult AT ALL TIMES. The library cannot provide childcare services.

Study Room Policies

Study rooms are intended for the use of the UDC community and UDC students, faculty, and staff have priority. Non-UDC patrons may use study rooms if one is available but will be asked to relocate if a UDC patron wishes to use the room.

  • Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Bookings are for a maximum of two hours. Patrons may stay beyond their reservation if no one else is waiting for a room but will be asked to relocate if they have been in the room for more than two hours and another user is waiting.
  • Patrons should inform staff when they vacate a study room so that it can be made available for other users.
  • Patrons must provide their name and email address in order to book a study room. Name and email data will be deleted at the end of each semester.
  • Patrons are responsible for keeping the study rooms clean.
  • Persistent non-compliance with study room policies, defined as three warnings over the course of the semester, will result in a loss of room booking privileges for one month.
  • The study rooms close when the library closes.
